Sperry Hall

edit

What is or was Sperry Hall? -mercuryboardtalk 16:43, 29 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

The page looks kind of shoddy

edit

The page needs some enhancements to improve its overall visual scheme. Also, we need to include information about each of the individual houses, this needs to be done in a paragraph fashion--65.26.146.109 01:12, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

The war memorial information is good, but the information is too much, we need to tone it down. I removed a lot of the information, however, I would really like for someone to create a page which concerns the Cornell War Memorial.--65.26.146.109 01:15, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Is there really enough information about the War Memorial to warrant its own page? This is where we should be including all that information. It's supposed to be a comprehensive description of West Campus. -mercuryboardtalk 01:22, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well, there is no need for it to be on this page, since the War Memorial has little to do with residential information, however, I believe that if we try we can get a lot of information (i.e. the names of those listed). Also, we should model the West Campus page after the North Campus, since that page makes a lot more sense. This page needs to be more organized and more aesthetically appealing (i.e. remove those annoying bold words everywhere).--65.26.146.109 01:28, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Although most of West Campus is residential, it doesn't mean this article should be limited to the residences. How many names are there on the War Memorial? Good idea, if it's a reasonable number. And there's just not that much to write about each of the houses and halls. If you can find enough information to make each their own section, go for it, but North Campus is just a lot of repetition. -mercuryboardtalk 01:43, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Agree with mercuryboard, the reason we assimilated each dorm into this article was because of the lack of information on each of the articles for each of the dorms. Also, War Memorial, if spun off as is would be about a paragraph long of a stub. I am temporarily re-adding the history of the gothics. --Moki80 05:40, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Temporary?

edit

Has anyone found any contemporaneous evidence that the University Halls were intended as "temporary" as opposed to permanent structures? The only authority cited was fiberglass showers, but it is not clear that the orginial showers in 1953 were made of fiberglass.

Fair use rationale for Image:West Campus Gothic Plan.jpg

edit

Image:West Campus Gothic Plan.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Picture of Cascadilla is misplaced?

edit

Why is there a picture of Cascadilla Hall on the West Campus page? It is undeniably in Collegetown, given its location on the south side of Cascadilla gorge. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Slaw0710 (talkcontribs) 04:06, 28 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
