Christopher Eugene Chalk is an American actor. He is most well-known for his role as Lucius Fox in Fox American drama series Gotham, and is also known for co-starring alongside Matthew Rhys in the HBO drama series Perry Mason.

Early life and education

Christopher Eugene Chalk[citation needed] was born in Asheville, North Carolina. He studied at Asheville High School, graduating in 1996.[1]

He attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.[2]

Career

On stage, Chalk is known for his role in the 2010 Broadway play Fences.[2]

He is known for television roles such as journalist Gary Cooper in The Newsroom,[3] Marine Tom Walker in Homeland,[4] and murderer Jody Adair in Justified.[1][3]

Chalk has also been in multiple Law & Order episodes[2] and appears in Gotham as a young Lucius Fox.[5] He appeared in the films 12 Years a Slave (2013)[6] and The Red Sea Diving Resort (2019).[citation needed]

He made his directorial debut with the film Our Deadly Vows in 2023.[7]

Personal life

In September 2016, Chalk got engaged to Kimberley Dalton Mitchell, whom he married in his hometown of Asheville on April 22 of the following year.[8]
