Abstract:

Most metals such as aluminum, copper, zinc, steel, etc., which have wide industrial applications, need coating operations in order to improve surface properties. Coating actually improves surface characteristics, including resistance to corrosion, wear, and scratching, as well as improving mechanical properties and malleability. In this article, copper coating on aluminum alloy ۵۰۸۳ was investigated by electrochemical plating method, using titanium oxide nanoparticles, and in order to investigate the effect of titanium oxide nanoparticles in the coating solution, a scanning electron microscope (SEM) was used, and EDS analysis was used to investigate the distribution of elements on the coating. Also, XRD analysis was used to identify the phases in the coating. According to the results of EDS analysis, the presence of the titanium oxide nanoparticle peak on the surface of the coating has created a sticky and uniform coating. The peak related to titanium oxide nanoparticle can be seen in the XRD test in anatase and rutile phases.
