Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Salacia oblonga, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Salacia (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello Vinayaraj,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Antidesma acidum, may be copied from http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl/record/kew-11926. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 15:09, 16 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on List of Ethnomedicinal Plants of Western Ghats requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.icmr.nic.in/000522/Coordinating%20Unit%20of%20Survey%20of%20Medicinal%20Plants%20of%20Western%20Ghats%20of%20India.pdf. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Sigmund Rascher into Nazi human experimentation. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 13:46, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Herbert Hagen

[edit]

The article Herbert Hagen has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Deletion proposal- I wanted to know about this particular Nazi guy, as he being the associate of another butcher Eichmann, but could not find anything at enwiki. But there is a big one at dewiki. The article Kelum Manamendra-Arachchi has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no reliable references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hultholia

[edit]

Hi Vinayaraj,

Thank you for your interest in keeping plant articles up to date. You recently reverted Caesalpinia mimosoides and made Hultholia a redirect. While well-meaning, this was incorrect. The citation you give for backing up your change was The Plant List. If you look at that webpage, it hasn't been updated since 2013 and it is based on information that was mined from ILDIS in 2010. The current classification is based on taxonomic revisions published in 2016 and 2017. These represent the currently accepted classification and supersede the outdated information in The Plant List. The Taxobox on the Hultholia page contains links to these references, so you really should have consulted these references (and looked carefully at the dates in The Plant List) before making the kinds of edits that you did. Wikipedia editor Nick Moyes just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

Interesting, but clumsily written and based just on two blogs. Why? There are far better sources out there like: this and this. You need to make this read like less like the plants are bending down and actively covering themselves in sand, and more like they have evolved to passively entrap sand. 'Body parts' is a phrase not used in botany, so please change it. Please also balance the article by stating the other explanations for this feature, such as resistance to abrasion and high insolation (see here. Please also note that this term was proposed in 1990 for a characteristic of a beetle called Georissus (see here) Get this sorted, and it could be a good candidate for Did You Know?.

[edit]

I notice that you tagged the page Srivaikuntanathan Permual temple for speedy deletion with the reason "spelling mistake". While that's a valid reason for speedy deletion in general, this page does not qualify for speedy deletion under that criterion because the speedy dleetion criteria WP:R3 only allows deletion of implausible typos for recently created pages. If you still want the page to be deleted, please consider tagging it with a speedy deletion template which does apply, or taking the page to Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion for discussion on the merits. Hello,

Recently we have been helped by Malayalam wikipedia users in copyediting & partial translation of english wikipedia article en:Kithaab to Malayalam wikipedia article ml:കിത്താബ്। The article is about a play on women rights issues.

The english wikipedia article is already being translated in various global languages। & we are looking forward to getting it translated in various Indian languages including kn: from Malayalam wikipedia article ml:കിത്താബ് before we go forward in getting translated in other Indian languages we wish that preferably translation of the article en:Kithaab to ml:കിത്താബ് gets completed. So there chances of mistakes in other Indian languages will be lesser.

Looking forward to your inputs & kind help regarding the same

Hello, Vinayaraj. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Terminalia catappa".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 09:34, 10 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Voleti Venkateswarulu, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Adish Praveen moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Adish Praveen, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. An Indian national film award winning actor has sufficient notability to be in English Wikipedia, you may delete, modify, take out, throw out or anything you may wish to do with that article,. I do not have quality time for discussion about it. Thank you-Vinayaraj (talk) 03:51, 24 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This needs to be demonstrated by significant coverage of the subject in reliable secondary sources. IMDB is not a reliable or significant reference. Draftspace allows you to find the necessary references to assert that notability, if you choose to do so. It has nothing to do with whether the subject is or is not notable, but this needs to be demonstrated. Bungle (talkcontribs) 07:26, 24 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
