Answer.

I left a very large response to your oppose. I hope it is able to clear the issues. I am not trying to convince you to change your mind or anything like that; I am just wanting to do some explanations. It should be helpful. :) Acalamari 16:47, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Hey Sarah :) Just wondering if Punk Boi's probation precludes him from participating in RfAs? He just took part in Mike B's, and although his comment was positive, I'm just wondering. Cheersy, – Riana 08:51, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

And Wikipedia:Wikisuite. Is anybody getting through to this guy? – Riana 10:27, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
I haven't been following this much recently, but I also saw his outburst [and subsequent apology] at/to Trödel. Hmm, makes one wonder how close the kid really is to the banhammer :/ – Chacor 11:13, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
I believe Cyberjunkie may have been contemplating it after his RfC about Trodel (which was quickly deleted as unendorsed). – Riana 11:32, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I was. I very nearly did. --cj | talk 14:29, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Your note to $$'s and sense

Considering how politely his request to VPP was phrased, I suspect he didn't know how better to request an unban. Might you add to your "wrong way" comment some hint about what would be the "right way"? -- BenTALK/HIST 19:01, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

RFA Thanks

I would like to thank you for your support in my recent RFA. As you may or may not be aware, it passed with approximately 99% support. I ensure you that I will use the tools well, and if I ever disappoint you, I am open to recall. If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to leave me a note on my talkpage. Thanks again, ^demon[omg plz] 20:47, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your help. Now I have to deal with the ten or twenty other (mainly anon) editors doing much the same sort of thing to similar articles... Still, it'll be a relief at least to have a breathing space from Charoog10. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 16:36, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

I hadn't seen that I think; I thought that they didn't get sullen and unco-operative until their teens? An early developer, perhaps. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 19:53, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
I was watching the whole "Her Name Is Nicole" debate between Charoog10 and MelEtitis and i thought the box-mode of the tracks looked more proffesional and why were you keep changing it. I want to thank you for being completely honest in your oppose !vote. I also want to applaud you for having what I think is the best and most convincing oppose !vote ever! :) Acalamari 18:44, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Hey, on Corby, that wasn't me, I don't know what happened, probably my error, but I was RV'ing the rack edit edits by 71.76.201.6 but somehow just put them back in. Sorry 'bout that. Grye 18:51, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Fifth Melbourne meetup

The fifth meetup of Melbourne Wikipedians is being planned as a breakfast meeting in the city with Jimbo Wales (at a venue to be arranged) on Friday, 27 April 2007.

Jimbo has proposed breakfast as the one real window of opportunity during his tightly scheduled stay in Melbourne. Tbe precise time has to be sorted out with Jimbo, but the arrangements for the equivalent Adelaide meetup a few days before may give a good idea.

Feel free to edit the relevant page in any way that might be helpful. I feel like a bit of an interloper, not having attended previous meetups. If there's anything you can do to help, I'll be grateful. Please think about whether you'll be able to make it, assuming the arrangements are similar to those Adelaide is adopting (i.e. a block of time with people being fairly free to arrive when it suits them). Some indication on the page of your possible participation would be really helpful. Metamagician3000 06:28, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

About Your Oppose.

I was never offended by your oppose, Sarah, and if I had been, that would have meant I was a biased user. I just said on Ryan's talk page that it was the longest oppose I'd ever seen before. :) As I mentioned above on your talk page, it was highly convincing. In fact, my RfA was even more "unique" (if that's an appropriate word to use) in the fact that it had three very long opposes. I've never seen that before. As for Rleve's oppose, (to me) you didn't seem impressed by it; but maybe I interpreted you incorrectly. Sorry about that. :) Acalamari 18:34, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

You did great on your own RfA: WP:100! As for the age criteria, I disagree with it; not because of my age, but because it would mean de-sysopping a load of good admins, like Persian Poet Gal and Majorly; who have done a great job as administrators. Having their administrative tools removed simply because they are not old enough would be a huge loss. Acalamari 18:43, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Qxz unprotection

Not at all, I think that your assessment of the situation at WP:RPP was perfectly appropriate (and probably more level-headed and impersonal than my initial action). It's not a big deal, if Qxz is no longer editing then there shouldn't even be an issue with the talk page. Thanks for the note ˉˉanetode╦╩ 06:42, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

RfA thanks

I was planning on writing a personalised thank you notice here, but any creativeness I had seems to have vanished (temporarily I hope), so I'll have to leave it at "Thank you and go pies" :)

Thank you for your Support on my recent nomination for adminship, which passed with a final tally of 89/1/1. If there's anything I can help with, then you know where to find me. Cheers.

If you look closely at the above picture, look on the horizon on the right, and you can see the Melbourne CBD from where I am.

Misunderstanding

Hello , I'm not asking you to change your vote but I would like to explain that this is actually not meant as a bait: User:Anynobody#Perhaps not the best way to ask for personal information. I've kept his name off and the mention of an organization which I don't think he is a part of but could none the less identify him and expressly stated it isn't meant to be ridicule, but an example of what not to do. Please believe me when I say if I wanted to ridicule him, I would have left his name and the OSA reference in the quote. Also, and this is perhaps the most ironic part, he's actually trying to make sure people know it's his quote whereas I wasn't.

Again please don't consider this an effort to change your vote, but please do assume good faith on my part. Anynobody 08:37, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure if your comment on WP:ANI meant that you think I'm trying to teach Justanother a lesson, or the community in general? I was trying to teach other editors that a WP:PA is a good indicator of another editor becoming frustrated he/she can't argue with whatever point you (as the receiver of the PA) made just before.

Isn't it all of our jobs to teach new editors by sharing experience? Please correct me if I'm wrong, Anynobody 08:00, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

My RfA

RfA

Hi, as you voted oppose on my last RfA (back in November) due to the fact that I didn't have enough experience (which, with hindsight, you were right about), I wondered if you could advise me as to whether you now think I am ready for a second RfA. My editcount is now over 3700 (and I expect to reach 4000 by the end of the month), I am an active participant in XfDs and vandal-fighting (mainly RC patrol), and I've also done several substantial article rewrites, including Politics which is now listed as a GA. So would you be prepared to vote Support if I go to RfA later this month? Walton Vivat Regina! 19:21, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for responding. I didn't consider the danger of being accused of canvassing, as I haven't opened an RfA yet, or even announced a definite intention to open one - but you're right that some users tend to clamp down on anything that might be considered canvassing, so I won't do it in future. In this case I'm more "testing the waters" to see whether it's worth doing an RfA at all, simply because I don't want another failure; obviously, if I do open an RfA, I will not be contacting anyone about it after it opens, as per the guidelines laid out in WP:CANVAS. But thanks for your help, and I await further feedback. Walton Vivat Regina! 12:54, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Greetings Sarah, having caught sight of the message you've just left for this user you should be aware that much of his editing is very problematic as it incessantly consists an anti-Islam/Muslim SOAPboxing reliant upon his own original research. As well he created an article entitled autosodomy that was entirely original research and proceeded to inappropriately link it to Yoga related articles (witness his latest similarly themed edits). The time is drawing near (if it hasn't already arrived) that this editor should be community banned due to his continue problematic editing on the project. Thanks for taking the initiative to curtail this users disruptive behavior. (Netscott) 07:57, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Please give specific reasons for your block of this user on his talk page. Thank you. Arrow740 08:48, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for stepping in with graph, I looked into its use and found that it was removed as the information isnt presented correctly, accurately and some it isnt even from the quoted source. I have listed it for deletion as UnEncyclopedic also noted its use in disruptive editing at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Gnangarra 13:20, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Ta for that, Gnang. I can't say I'm surprised to hear that the graph has all those issues. I did wonder about it myself when I first saw it and I meant to go back and look into it further but I've been having computer problems. Thanks for following through with it. I'll check out the deletion listing. Cheers, Sarah 13:46, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Thank you very much for blocking him, as he has persisted in making disruptive edits to pages such as Yoga, Yoga as exercise, and Kundalini yoga, as well as using an image of a Hindu goddess and making unsupported claims about "yogic practices" on pages such as Sodomy and Anal sex page. Since this user has also been accused of sock puppetry, I hope that you will place some of these pages on your watch list for a while, as I expect he will return in some way to continue with the disruptive behavior. Buddhipriya 18:21, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks very much for the block, Sarah. --Aminz 03:40, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

I've been having problems with my computer as well, so I empathise. :) You're right about my editcount - I was only making a few edits a month till December, when I decided to become a more regular contributor, hence the vast majority of my edits have been in the last few months. • (copied from my talk page) - That's no problems Longhair - I can wait - my thoughts over the past couple of weeks have been that I can help with what you, Sarah, Golden Wattle etc are doing. My personal and work life are at a stage now where I can and want to be on Wiki a heck of a lot (my girlfriend says she is a wiki-widow!). Sarah's comments are very helpful. Let's wait and I'll ask her through this message to keep an eye on my edits and perhsps she won't mind letting me know when I reach a better stage of wiki life.--VS talk 23:04, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks Sarah. I have had a great Easter - lot's of good healthy chocolate:-D Thanks for picking up on my WP:AIV work on the side - and yes I will post also to there to get the appropriate skills and composite recognition. I would be pleased if you let me know when you think I am ready - in fact when you do think that then please feel free to nominate solo or with Mr Longhair and I will be proud to accept formally. I am in absolutely no rush and I am enjoying my standard editing way enough to continue and continue and continue. Thank you again.--VS talk 10:38, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

  • I haven't stopped smiling since I just saw your last revert on Longhair's page - I know I'm getting there when I get a direct mention and a user page name from our favourite non-editor... --VS talk 12:26, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Joestella and the complaints

Good to know you've been watching me for some time. I'm flattered. You studied journalism? Cool. I did media and politics.

I think that in time, like most editors I've crossed, you'll find me to be generally reasonable beneath the brusque exterior. Happy editing. Joestella 04:45, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

I would be very grateful if you would please stop misrepresenting what I say. I have not been "watching [you] for some time," nor have I been conducting an "ongoing investigation". I'm wondering how many times I am going to have to write this. As I have told you already, I have merely been "aware" of you, partly because you edit many of the media and journalism articles on my watchlist, and partly because of the fact that some time ago, another editor complained about you. I'm sure you would agree that there is a big difference between conducting an "ongoing investigation", "watching [a person] for some time" and simply being "aware" of them because they edit in the same subject area. I am starting to wonder if you deliberately misrepresent what people say, or if this a comprehension problem. Sarah 06:09, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Joe, with respect your statement above is wrong. If a survey was conducted of 'editors you've crossed', it would find a near-universal view that your edit summaries are overly hostile, you misuse vandalism warnings in content disputes, you edit-war to get your way and you deliberately assume bad faith on the part of everyone you disagree with.
Some suggestions that you have no doubt heard before - calm down, try to seek consensus before making changes or deleting content and be aware that articles are not 'owned' by you or anyone else. You're not the only person this applies to - politics articles generate some heated debate. So nothing personal, just some friendly advice. 60.225.86.169 12:13, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Looks like a comment from one of the people I've told to "calm down" when they were in fact calm. I agree, few things are more irritating. Suggestions for me, even from those who can't bring themselves to log in before making them, are always welcome at my talk page, a better forum than Sarah's. Joestella 13:03, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi Sarah.

Please take a look at the contribution of this user(3 contributions by the time I make this report) [1].

The first contribution says: Throw some of the appalling crime data and figures into the article.[2]

Second contribution says: Van Helsing - Killed vampires and other creatures of the night while on tour[3]

Third contribution says:by way of the sword, Muhammad had succeeded in bringing the Arabian peninsula under the banner of Islam. [4]

These all follow the pattern of David's previous edits. --Aminz 08:52, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Okay, Aminz, I've blocked that one as well but can you please make sure that you also have it on your watchlist in case they protest (and prod me if they do). Thanks, Sarah 11:31, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Gaming the system

Hi Sarah,

David is gaming the system. He has made 7 (detected) socks so far and 3 (detected) IPs. He seems to be playing with us and has shown zero respect for wikipedia policies. I think it is appropriate to indef-block him at this moment. He was given warnings of this for a couple of times before. Cheers, --Aminz 09:09, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi, Sarah, thanks for the barnstar

Hi, Sarah. Thanks for the barnstar. It's nice of you to notice me, as I don't think we've had much interaction. I did notice your kindness and your attempts to be fair to GordonWatts some time ago, and I was very impressed. Sorry I haven't answered you sooner, but I've been busy. I'm actually on holidays at the moment, with internet access in the hotel room, and I had quite a lot to do before leaving. It's really nice to have two editors thinking I'd be suitable as an administrator. I definitely would like to try, but I think I'd prefer to wait until May. I feel I have quite a good understanding of policy by now, but there's a lot to learn about tagging images, closing AfDs, etc., and I'd like to be sure I know how to do things properly. Thanks again. ElinorD (talk) 23:46, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

paaerduag

I just dont understand why all this has been dredged up again! I think I have a right to ask why all this has been dredged up again, because I've been a productive member of wikipedia since all that happened back several months ago. Why is it all coming up again? can you please tell me why I'm being accused of all these things again? obviously you're keeping a very close eye on me... may i ask how watched i am? also, can you please stop bringing up the past, not just you but that other editor as well. Please can't we just leave the past as the past. Can you please tell this other user to stop dredging up the past, obviously I'm the most hated person on wikipedia. --Paaerduag 03:29, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi Sarah,

Please take a look at [6]. This IP is based in Sydney Australia and is interested in the "Islam and slavery" and "Islam and children" articles. --Aminz 08:48, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

that IP is for the University of Sydney and so thousands of people would have access to it. Sarah 08:52, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Hmmm. But it is certainly David. He is reverting back to one of his previous versions on "Islam and slavery" article. Can you please sprotect that article. Thanks --Aminz 08:54, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

about bringing up the past

I don't know why all this has happened, I'm just as confused as the next person. I didn't mean any personal offense, and I think I have a right to be left in peace and not harassed about the past, which NOT you, but that other editor, is guilty of. I'm not accusing you of anything. By the way, I have repeatedly asked that other editor who started this whole thing why he was doing it, and I have not received a proper response as of yet. --Paaerduag 10:45, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

LGAs In WP:MELB Updated

Thanx for the help again. I've updated the LGA's section for Wikiproject Melbourne. It hasn't gone up much at all. 31% to 40%! I might be wrong though so you can check it if you want. Chicken7 12:58, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

I'll try. But tomorrow afternoon I go to Phillip Island and then I go back to school.
So tomorrow I'll do as many as I can. I'm going to bed now so I won't reply. And thankyou for trusting me and my maths. :D Chicken7 13:09, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Merge history request

Can I please come to you with a direct request? I've been trying to clear up one (a little more unusual) speedy delete which refers to these two articles User:Verisimilus/Ediacara and Ediacaran biota. The original author Verisimilus used the first page as a sandbox and each time he adjusted he transferred material over to the actual article. The sandbox article needs a history merge and then deletion I believe. I have spoken to him and he has deleted content at the sandbox version and placed a request on that page for history merge to occur.--VS talk 22:40, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I've done it Steve. Cheers, Sarah 23:37, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks Sarah. Just as you were merging I got a message from Golden Wattle - and responded at my talk page. I'm not sure if it changes anything but perhaps if you have a look? Hope you have a lovely day doing whatever you do when you are not doing Wiki.--VS talk 23:49, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

QXZ ads

Hi sarah, it is taking a while for Longhair to get back to me on a couple of things. Is he on wikibreak or something? Harrison-HB4026 06:26, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Harrison, I think you should talk to Gurch about what happens now. From what I have seen, when a project asks for an ad, he just goes ahead and makes one up. If members want to discuss images to be used, we should find out from Gurch (or whoever is doing it now) if they are firstly, willing to create an ad and if so, what they need from us and how much input people can have with regard to the images etc. Sarah 14:20, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I am, and all I need is the name of the page you want it to link to. Obviously if you want me to use a specific image or whatever then I'll need a link to that, too – Gurch 19:40, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

sexual abuse section... don't worry, I'm not dredging anything up!

Hi, I am just wondering whether I'll be targetted if I try to reach a new consensus for the placement of the sexual abuse section further towards the top of the bgs page. It is a historical event, and I think it belongs in history, but I also know that just about everyone on the bgs page hates me and wants me to be blocked. I guess I just want to know whether I should even bother trying, and whether you'll take action because i may edit on the page again. My main focus is not that article, but I still find it slightly ridiculous that the sexual abuse section is at the very bottom. rather blatant... anyway, just tell me whether i'll be targetted and blocked. that's all I want to know. --Paaerduag 11:17, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

melbourne

Sarah why did you revert my edit of Melbourne! A simple check of the web or wikipedia will confirm that mercedes college was established in 1846 making the statement incorrect. Unless you can provide evidence other than a link to the school website then I will remove it again.

It seems that all schools like to claim being the oldest something. I have found some ten schools that claim to be the oldest in Australia in some way often with great contradictions. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cmurphy au (talkcontribs) 11:51, 22 April 2007 (UTC).

DavidYork71

Looking at this troll's history, it might be a good idea to report him to his ISP as well. If I'm not mistaken, a lot of what he's done would violate his ISP's TOS as well. I could be wrong here--most American ISPs require you to abide by the policies of third-party sites as well. Anything to pull the thread from his socks ...Blueboy96 03:11, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

It might be because Telstra's AUP doesn't specifically require you to abide by the terms of third-party sites. Most ISPs here in the States have a clause to that effect. It's too bad ... would make it a lot easier to put him out to pasture, and permanently. Blueboy96 18:49, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

bgs

ok... i just brought it up with you because I do feel like a lot of editors don't like me (maybe rightly so back then, but I have changed). Anyway, I appreciate your honest and thoughtful answer. --Paaerduag 07:17, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Re Melbourne and Ormiston

Sarah thankyou for your response - I apologise for not noticing the distinction between girls primary and secondary - it clearly does belong there in that case. I also apologise for my oversight in not signing my comment. Cmurphy au 09:00, 23 April 2007 (UTC) PS: one reason that I missed your reference to be the oldest girls Primary school was because the school website (and indeed your earlier edit) that you link to as evidence for your statement falsely claims that Ormiston is the oldest girls school on the mainland. This highlights why school websites should be used with care. I have found many schools that make claims like this on their websites which are incorrect. For example: The Kings School often claims to be the oldest school in Australia - it isn't. Launceston Church Grammar School claims to be the oldest continuously operating school - it isnt. Cmurphy au 09:23, 23 April 2007 (UTC) PPS: thanks for your message! I know what night shift nursing can do to a person! My partner is a former DON and is a nurse educator :-). May I ask what your interest in education is - or were your changes just because you were administrating. I only became involved because the article on Scotch College (and yes its website too!) claims its the oldest school in victoria and I knew that was wrong because my children went to St Mary's and its started on its present site 10 years before Scotch was founded. I have since found multitude of similar claims and mistakes not just on wikipedia but on school websites. I even visited a school in NSW that has a big plaque out the front saying its the oldest catholic school in australia the only problem being that three other schools started 10 years before it. Cmurphy au 09:32, 23 April 2007 (UTC) I'll leave it in - I think it fits ok and having the oldest irls primary school reinforces the message of mebourne having a long tradition in education. I agree with you about the bullying thing by the way my daughter has just moved schools crossing the road from the actual oldest school in victoria to the heritage listed one that claims to be the oldest school in Williamstown. But not because of their false claims but because they introduced ani-bullying programs that have been taken up across the naion like buddy bears and their "Willy kids are friendly kids" program. hey sarah.

Hey Sarah, I'm having some problems monitoring my Wikipedia Page.

SSohioboy or whoever that is, and many others are still posting PRO pedophilia links and attacking me.

This is unacceptable.

I apriciate the help.

Justin Berry —The preceding unsigned comment was added by JustinBerry (talkcontribs) 03:00, 25 April 2007 (UTC).

Greetings, Justin. As I'm the one you're speaking of, I'd invite you to share any future concerns with me directly on my talk page. If given a chance, I think you'll find I'm here to improve the encyclopedia, and am open to constructive criticism. While we may disagree on some things, I believe we both want the Justin Berry article to be of the highest possible quality.
As far as the links in question (to www.TheTruthAboutJustin.Com and www.FreeCasey.Com), I've ceased reverting their deletion as a consensus has not been reached about whether they should be included in the article. I've also reverted poorly sourced additions of negative material about you made by Kurt Berry. Generally, aside from particular policy violations, only the community consensus determines what is unacceptable in an article. I invite you to continue sharing your content concerns in the article's talk page.
Everyone has a say in the consensus-building process, but no one has a greater say than anyone else. If you'd like to have a page where you can exercise your own judgment over what appears there, please consider editing your userpage, which, within broad limits, can contain what content you see fit. Also, please consider signing your talk page comments (like the one above) by typing ~~~~, which adds your username and the date & time of your comment. If I can be of any assistance, please let me know. --Ssbohio 16:24, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Barricade Books

Hi Sarah, sorry just came back online. Thanks for the prompt on categories showing - I found them (part of a message earlier on that I have delinked to remove the listing). In terms of your prompt on Barricade Books. My opinions include (1) Notability is only just (but hardly if at all) established by the second paragraph which refers to the "Neo-Nazis" - the first bit about the police charging an employee for selling obscene material is nothing at all in its present format - BUT that said there is no direct citation to allow for verification of the material - other than the general reference link here which whilst mentioning the act seems far too close to the source, (2) The last link in the body content is spam, (3) The second link under References is exactly the same link and is not a reference per se`. All in all it does not belong on Wikipedia in its present form because it does not pass WP:NN and it appears to be a possible speedy under db:spam or advert. At the very least a <prod>. In fact I would have dealt with the article at the same time as answering your question but not sure if you have another plan?--VS talk 10:27, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Box things

hey, where do u get those box things for ur user page? like "this user is a native speaker of english" etc etc. oh, and for the record, lions >> hawks. Just thought id let you know :) Kiran90 00:13, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Dear Sarah, you rv someting on POV grounds and lost the baby with the bathwater - i.e. a whole load of factual stuff, important to contextualising this important controversy, was undone. It can only be the Humphries stuff that's bordering on POV, and then, only because I haven't referenced it yet - please, don't do this. If the Humphries stuff annoys you so much, then just delete that. the other stuff is not POV. The only kind of person who would argue that Government policy is 'POV' and irrelevant is someone who deeply engaged in the local resistance with a specific perspective related to a vested interest, however genuine and heartfelt that is. Eyedubya 07:56, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

  • Hi Sarah - I have tried/am trying hard with this editor (as no doubt you would have seen). I was/am hoping he would/will read the guidelines I gave him in a welcome message (but he blanked that content soon after). I note your comment on his talk page regarding WP:3RR which for your information I also warned him on earlier today (also blanked) when I noted that he uses his registered user name and his IP address 124.191.205.72 to make undos & reverts. If I can help you Sarah in this matter at any time please let me know - if he continues to revert I will post to Admin Noticeboard also. Best wishes, Steve.--VS talk 08:38, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks Steve. I changed the 3RR warning to level two as I wasn't aware that you had previously warned them. I'm really just concerned that s/he cite appropriate references for their material. I'm rather busy tonight and haven't had a chance to look through recent edits, but last night s/he added quite a bit of material to a number of articles without citing any sources at all. I've tried to explain that V is not an optional policy and they must follow it but s/he has been quite resistive. I think some of his/her material is valid and useful, but they need to accept that V, NPOV and OR are non-negotiable.
Thanks for your help, Steve, (and for being more patient than me :)). I'll be going offline soon. I'm going to be try to go to the breakfast meeting with Jimbo tomorrow, but I'm going to have to get up at 4am or something ridiculous to get to Southbank in time and I'm not sure how successful I'll be with that! Take care Steve, Sarah 11:56, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Hi, of course, having been told what the rules are, I'll do my best, in good faith, to abide by those rules. As a new editor, I may well break rules from time to time. I'd rather spend time on content than reading a rulebook to be honest - like you I have a full and frantic life offline. Thanks for breaking me in. Eyedubya 13:23, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
  • My pleasure as always Sarah. Hope you made it to the meeting (although getting up that early - yuck). Anyway I left another message for Eyedubya on his page this morning. He has a bit of a problem with understanding what wiki is not (ie SOAP) but if he can get past that and also learn the guidelines on V, NPOV and OR - he will make a good editor.--VS talk 21:46, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Hey again, I've uploaded some photos of Bulleen Plaza and I'm going to upload more photos of Sovereign Hill now. I've just cut my finger with a bottletop accidentally and blood's everywhere. It'll heal though. I hope you have a good weekend too. Cheers! :D Chicken7 08:49, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Realsynical message for sarah

Thanks for your message regarding daddy kindsoul. HE/SHE has been vandalizing MY bands wikipedia page...which, by the way, I didn't create. Daddy Kindsoul has been stating facts regarding our upcoming record release that are POV, subjective and/or not correct.
