Arrow Length...

[edit]

I used to practise Archery... My Arrows were longer than 15 inches long, as I remember them... I think they should be longer, like ~30 or so inches, for realism's sake... As I remember, Yondu Udonta was a Five Foot Ten Incher, in height; so he would have a longer reach than I would... Michael 16:55, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is he a Kree in the films?

[edit]

This is heavily implied in dialogue in the second film, and we don't see a lot of other blue aliens in the GOTG films. When I typed "is yondu" into Google the top recommended search was "is yondu a kree", so it seems pretty likely this has been addressed somewhere. Hijiri 88 (やや) 03:19, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No, seriously: he looks more like the Kree in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (specifically Kasius's underlings, the ones without the heavy black eye makeup) than Ronan does. Admittedly, these individuals are never referred to as Kree in AOS, so it's possible the Kree (who all have black eyes) have underlings of Yondu's race, but if that's the case then this edit (which specifically referred to one of them as Kree) was in error and should at least be attributed to a secondary source that explicitly describes him as Kree. From what I recall, the only one specifically referred to as Kree who didn't have black eyes was Sinara. I'm not saying my OR should be inserted in the article, of course, just that it's a problem when the only way content can be included in the encyclopedia at all is in a manner that violates NOR. Orphaned references in Yondu

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Yondu's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
