End date of August 17th?

[edit]

Shouldn't we put the first run date in May as the end date, since it was reruns from then onward? 72.59.120.184 (talk) 19:32, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bonus Board question

[edit]

What are the values involved? Obviously, there's a slight difference between, say, (A) a 2/3 chance of flushing ~$1,000 down the drain for an extra ~$500 and a 1 in 15 chance at $100K, and (B) a 2/3 chance of flushing ~$10,000 for an extra ~$5,000 and the shot at $100K. Samer (talk)

I will review. Freikorp (talk) 11:46, 25 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

  1. Is it reasonably well written?
    A. Prose is "clear and concise", without copyvios, or spelling and grammar errors:
    B. MoS compliance for lead, layout, words to watch, fiction, and lists:
Lead and entire article is written as if the show is still active, yet no information is given past the second season in 2009. This is confusing.
The game show articles are always written in the present tense, even if the show is no longer airing. We tend not to revert to past tense if the show has been canceled; the fact that it's no longer on the air doesn't affect the gameplay in any manner. --Bentvfan54321 (talk) 21:00, 26 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  1. "Two regular games are played. Contestants who win both games win the match and receive all the money in the bank." So what happens if instead of one player winning both games, each contestant wins one?
A tiebreaker is played; I've re-arranged the information. --Bentvfan54321 (talk) 21:00, 26 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
    A. Has an appropriate reference section:
    B. Citation to reliable sources where necessary:
    C. No original research:
  2. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. Major aspects:
Why is there no information on why the show ended?
It's a Game Show Network original program. The small-budget GSN almost never gives reasons for cancellation; the shows are always just quietly dropped. Perhaps ratings were down, management didn't want to run the show anymore, or the show was too expensive, but no reliable source would give a reason for it. --Bentvfan54321 (talk) 21:00, 26 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. If you can find even a generic reference that the show wasn't renewed, like in a list of cancelled shows for the season that would be good, but no worries if even that doesn't exist. Freikorp (talk) 00:44, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  1. The article states "announced plans to launch a new website...". Was the website actually launched? And if so, is it still active? Any follow up information on this at all?
The website is no longer active. plus Added. --Bentvfan54321 (talk) 21:00, 26 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  1. B. Focused:
  2. Is it neutral?
    Fair representation without bias:
  3. Is it stable?
    No edit wars, etc:
  4. Does it contain images to illustrate the topic?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid fair use rationales are provided for non-free content:
    B. Images are provided if possible and are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
  5. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:

Placing on hold until issues are addressed. Freikorp (talk) 12:13, 25 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Freikorp: Thanks; I finish Drivers' Education tomorrow, so I'll see how soon I can get this done. Thanks, --Bentvfan54321 (talk) 02:23, 26 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I believe I've addressed everything, let me know what else I can do. Thanks, --Bentvfan54321 (talk) 21:00, 26 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
One suggestion above, but great job overall, Well done. Passing. Freikorp (talk) 00:44, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
