A statue of Pope John XXIII is installed outside Istanbul's Church of St. Anthony of Padua, in Turkey.[1][2][3][4]
History
[edit]The statue was made in Italy[5] and first erected in the garden of the St. Esprit Church in Harbiye, Şişli, unveiled when Pope Benedict XVI visited Istanbul on November 30, 2006.[6] It was later relocated to the Church of St. Anthony of Padua.
