The Kansas City Film Critics Circle (KCFCC) is an American film critic organization founded in 1966 by James Loutzenhiser, who also served as its President till his death in 2001.[1][2] The annual awards presented by the group for achievements in filmmaking are among the oldest in the United States which are bestowed by film critics, second only to the New York Film Critics Circle awards.[3][4][5] Its members include reviewers and film scholars from various print publications and broadcasting stations based in Kansas City, Missouri.[6][7][8]
