Deutsch: Das Bild zeigt das Karstadt-Stammhaus (heute KarstadtQuelle) in Wismar. Hier gründete Rudolph Karstadt am 14. Mai 1881 sein erstes Geschäft. Das graue Fachwerkhaus links ist das denkmalgeschützte Gebäude Am Markt 3.
English: This image shows the head office of the former Karstadt Warenhaus AG (now KarstadtQuelle) in Wismar, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. On 14 May 1881, Rudolph Karstadt founded his first store (Cloth, Manufacture, and Mass Production Business Karstadt) here. The grey building (timber framing) Am Markt 3 on the left is listed.
