Áine Tighe (born 25 July 1992) is an Australian rules footballer for the Fremantle Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW) and a former Gaelic football player for Leitrim.[1]
Tighe missed the complete first two seasons after being recruited to Australia due to knee injuries. She made her debut in the opening round of the 2022 AFL Women's season 6.[2] She became a mainstay of Fremantle's forward line during the 2022 AFL Women's season 7, culminating in her finishing 3rd in the Fremantle fairest and best award[3] and was the club's leading goalkicker for the season.[4] Her best performance was in the final game of the season when she kicked a career high four goals.[5]
