Regarding "Glyph origin"

Presently, this section reads as follows: Phono-semantic compound (形聲, OC *ɡ·raːɡ): semantic 石 + phonetic 各 (OC *klaːɡ).

However, this clearly relates only to "Pronunciation 1" (gè). The acceptable use of the glyph 硌 with this pronunciation (gè) and meaning (chafe) seems to be quite recent, perhaps only a few decades old. Yuen Ren Chao wrote in "Concise Dictionary of Spoken Chinese" (1947) p. 251, that the word gè is one of a short list of words that are "spoken but never written, or written only with nonce characters of no general acceptance".

Meanwhile, it seems that the glyph 硌 was already around at the time of Kangxi, defined as 山上大石也。. [3] And this source also suggests that 硌[luò] developed from 礫, which was in Shuowen. So perhaps this is what should be in the contents of the "glyph origin" section? Or perhaps there should be separate glyph origins for each of the two readings of the glyph (gè and luò).
