From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Albanian *skatja. Cognate to Latin scateō (“to stream, to flow out”), Lithuanian skantù, skàsti (“to spring, to jump”) and perhaps to Ancient Greek σκάξω (skáxō, “to be lame”)[1].
