The case for Modula-2 in CS1 and CS2

Published: 01 February 1988 Publication History

Abstract

During 1984 and 1985 I was part of an ACM Task Force to update the recommended curricula for CSI and CS2, the first two courses in programming methods for computer science majors. Our findings were reported in the communications of the ACM (Koffman, 1984 and 1985). The objectives of CS1 and CS2 as stated in these reports follow.
