Research on the Allocation Ratio of Parking Spaces for Hybrid Reservation Mechanism Based on Grey Theory

Abstract

In recent years, parking reservation has become an effective measure to alleviate parking difficulties. With the support of intelligent technology, parking reservation software has been successfully applied in many cities. At present, most of the software adopts the first-reservation-first-service mechanism. However, some studies have shown that auction mechanism is more efficient, especially VCG auction mechanism, which increases the revenue of parking reservation platform through dynamic pricing. However, auction mechanism is more favorable to residents with higher income levels at the expense of those with lower income levels, which will raise the issue of inequality. If parking reservation platform combines first-reservation-first-service mechanism with auction mechanism to build hybrid parking reservation system, it could achieve a balance between efficiency and equity. Therefore, this paper researches the allocation ratio of parking spaces between first-reservation-first-service mechanism and auction mechanism in the hybrid reservation mechanism and establishes the evaluation system of parking space allocation ratio. Based on grey theory, a comprehensive evaluation model of parking space allocation ratio is constructed, and the specific calculation method of a comprehensive evaluation is given in the way of example analysis, which provides a more scientific analysis method for the operation and management of parking reservation platform.
