Adoption Of Information Technology in Logistics and Supply Chain Organizations in Tamilnadu

Abstract

Logistics technology encompasses machinery, vehicles, and software that enable the efficient flow of goods from production to consumption. The adoption of technology has helped the universal logistics sector to operate more efficiently, resulting in significant cost savings for clients. This study is built on the implementation of technology that not only enhances efficiency in the system by adopting new technology, but companies can also carry out tasks more flexibly and effectively, resulting in increased productivity and overall customer satisfaction. Despite the shortage of skilled personnel, digital-enabling technologies and analytics can partially overcome this challenge. Information technology has brought about numerous benefits, including improved communication, streamlined processes, and greater access to information and knowledge. To investigate the adoption of information technology in logistics management and the barriers to its implementation in supply chain organizations. The belongings of info skills in supply chain management that can be mentioned are improving cooperation relationships in internal and external dimensions, increasing responsibility, creating new relationships with customers to identify their needs, developing sales channels, improving performance, and improving the competitive position of the chain.
