Target Tracking Based on a New Adaptive Genetic Algorithm

Published: 12 December 2009 Publication History

Abstract

he importance of image tracking system to TV guidance missile and the modes of target tracking were introduced firstly. Aiming at disadvantage of primal algorithm of template matching, genetic algorithm (GA) is applied to template matching. The GA adopts new encoded mode and defines new cross and mutation operator. In addition, the paper analyses the influence of crossover and mutation probability to GA. In order to get appropriate crossover probability and mutation probability, a new adaptive genetic algorithm (NAGA) is adopted. Simulation results prove that target tracking based on the NAGA can reduce computational load and enhance matching speed.
