Fault Diagnosis of Banana Vibration Screen Based on Wavelet Packet Transform

Published: 06 January 2011 Publication History

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to detect the cracks of the banana vibration screen beam by wavelet transform. A single-cracked beam with single crack is evaluated by means of discrete wavelet packet transform in the present research, in which wavelet transforms are employed to detect the cracks on the beam. The experimental results reveal that the proposed modal analysis and the wavelet packet transforms can effectively identify the damage and can be applied to more complex structures.
