Abstract

This paper' reviews the progress-to-date on the application of Design-Quality Metrics analysis to large-scale legacy software products. Basic design-quality metrics are outlined followed by the procedures followed to assess the metrics on a large software product. The unique problems of assessing design-quality metrics on legacy software are outlined. Preliminary results are given relating defect data to the metrics.
