Published: 01 April 2014 Publication History

Abstract

The main purpose of e-learning systems is to provide learningâ s materials to let learners upgrading their knowledgeâ s through Internet. To be more efficient, these systems must be able to present their learningâ s materials based on learnerâ s acquired knowledge as well as their learningâ s capability (learning styles). Therefore building learning systems based on pedagogy models which enable it to adapt learningâ s materials to learners. On this paper, we present some known pedagogical method of learning (known as learning styles) and how they can be introduced on the learning process of learning systems so that they can supports individual learnerâ s specifications. We mainly focus our work on learning systems supporting SCORM as a learning object descriptor, even though SCORM does not supports pedagogy concepts. Therefore, we start first by proposing a method which enables SCORM supporting pedagogy concepts. Then we present an overall architecture based on pedagogical concepts.
