The scope of SIGCHI consists of the study of the human-computer interaction process and includes research and development efforts leading to the design and evaluation of user interfaces. The focus of SIGCHI is on how people communicate and interact with computer systems. SIGCHI serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas among computer scientists, human factors scientists, psychologists, social scientists, systems designers and end users. Membership in SIGCHI also includes a subscription to "interactions" magazine and a print and online subscription to the "SIGCHI Bulletin Supplement". SIGCHI members also have access to all SIGCHI publications in the ACM Portal to Computing Literature.
