PI influx in dopaminergic cells.

SH-SY5Y cells were treated with aS/DHA oligomers and the number of PI-positive cells was calculated as a percentage of the total counterstained cells. Quantitation (n = 3 cultures, with 5 fields analyzed per culture, 250-300 cells per field; error bars indicated the S.E.) indicated that aS/DHA oligomers increased the percentage of PI-positive cells. Statistical significance was calculated by one-way ANOVA (p < 0.05) compared with mock control or monomeric aS.
