What does business and industry expect from computer science graduates today?

Published: 01 February 1983 Publication History

Abstract

In developing a curriculum that produces graduates that are readily accepted in today's business and industry the question arises, “What courses in a student's background are most vital?” To address this question a questionnaire was constructed and sent to 500 businesses and industries in South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, and Florida. This short paper reports the rather startling findings of this survey.
