Research on the Influencing Factors of Ecological Literacy of Graduate Students

Published: 12 January 2023 Publication History

Abstract

As an important reserve force for national high-quality talents, the ecological literacy of graduate students is directly related to the process of building a national ecological civilization. As a result, it is of vital importance to research the influencing factors of graduate students’ ecological literacy. A sample of 505 graduate students from five universities in Tianjin was taken as an empirical study. The result showed that graduate students’ ecological literacy was in good condition, but their ecological knowledge was lacking. The teaching had a significant impact on the ecological knowledge, training objectives and supervisor guidance influenced the ecological consciousness and behavior. It makes the following suggestions: incorporating ecological literacy into the training objective system, constructing a perfect teaching system of ecological literacy, and giving full play to the role of the supervisors in the development of graduate students’ ecological literacy.
