Research on speed control of sensorless brushless DC (BLDC) motors based on improved fuzzy-PI control

Published: 14 October 2022 Publication History

Abstract

This paper aims to present a fuzzy-PI control method to improve the adjustment for speed, overshoot, speed range, and resistance to load disturbance for sensorless brushless DC (BLDC) motor control system. We use PI control under large errors, fuzzy control under small errors, and PI control is further improved by segmental limit. After comparison and simulation using Matlab, it was found that the system has excellent stability in a wide range of speed regulation. The results show the effectiveness and superiority of our proposed method, which lays the foundation for improved control of sensorless BLDC motors.
