Application of 5G Network Slicing in State Grid

Published: 06 August 2020 Publication History

Abstract

In June 2019, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology awarded 5G licenses to three operators and National Radio and Television Administration. This marks that China has officially entered the 5G era. 5G is not only a technological upgrading of the communication industry, but also can speed up the upgrading of other vertical industries. In this paper, we introduce three key technologies of 5G: network slicing, network function virtualization (NFV) and software defined network (SDN), we also elaborate the application status of 5G network slicing technology in power communication network. Finally, we prospect the development of network slicing technology in power communication network.
