Estimating the energy consumption of software components from size, complexity and code smells metrics

Abstract

Software quality may influence energy consumption. This work presents the CCsEM green model based on Size, Complexity and Code Smells to estimate energy consumption of architecture software components without being executed. This paper details the definition of this multiple linear regression model constructed from 42 applications, and its results.
