Calculation and polynomial synthesis of the normalized response of a pseudo-elliptic lossy filter

Published: 27 March 2019 Publication History

Abstract

In this work a set of techniques and design method based on normalized low pass prototype, lossy rational polynomial functions of the transmission coefficient S21 and reflection coefficient S11, recursive technique of Cameron, and alternating poles method are applied to calculate the zeros and poles that characterize the normalized pseudo-elliptic lossy filter response. A Matlab program was developed to simplify the computation process, display the transmission and reflection zeros and poles in the complex plane, and plot the amplitudes in dB of S21 and S11 in the normalized frequency plane of a given filter.
