Non-conventional dynamics in a software engineering course: practical and ludic activities

Published: 17 September 2018 Publication History

Abstract

This article discusses dynamics adopted in software engineering discipline of a systems analysis and development course that represent a form of diversifying the way to conduct the contents in the classroom. The black box, the game processing and the marathon of software engineering are presented and discussed. A comparison of the dynamics with the teaching-learning approaches in the literature is also presented. Preliminary results show that the dynamics are viable, the teaching-learning approaches are related to them and that students are receptive to non-traditional practices.
