Abstract

We present the design and the partial implementation of a simulation-based intelligent tutoring system for training surgical decision making skill. The simulation combines an immersive virtual environment with a conversational intelligent tutoring system. The pedagogical module has been largely implemented and the result of an initial evaluation of the implemented tutorial interventions is presented.
