Hi Robot: Evaluating RoboTale

Published: 15 November 2015 Publication History

Abstract

This paper presents the evaluation of the RoboTale game of interactive storytelling for children. The evaluation assess the usability of tangibles for robot control; their role in the storytelling; and the collaboration among the participating children. In the evaluation 21 children told stories with RoboTale in groups of three. The subsequent evaluation revealed surprisingly creative uses of the tangible markers available to the children, and the collaboration in the telling of stories showed great potential for learning.
