Abstract

Life on Earth begins and ends with chlorophyll: There is no photosynthesis, no accumulation of solar energy and its transformation into energy of organic substances without chlorophyll a or related pigments of photosynthetie bacteria (bacteriochlorophylls, bacteriorhodopsin). And without photosynthesis and plant production animals and men cannot live.
