Abstract
The British Medical Association (BMA) document, entitled “Security in Clinical Information Systems’, is welcomed for the high profile it is giving to the debate on the many issues involved. However, it is a matter of some concern that the document, although consultative, is widely assumed to be the agreed position of health care professionals.
