Abstract

Die ventrale interkorporelle Spondylodese hat sich, basierend auf empirischen Erkenntnissen, als eine der wichtigsten orthopädischen Operationen an der WS etabliert [1]. Da die Durchführung lumbaler interkor-poreller Spondylodesen infolge des notwendigen retro-peritonealen oder transperitonealen Zugangs mit einem erheblichen Operationstrauma für die Patienten verbunden war, lag es nahe, Erkenntnisse aus der mini-mal-invasiven Bauchchirurgie [3] zu nutzen, um so endoskopische Techniken zur Fusionierung instabiler LWS-Segmente anzuwenden [4]. Prinzip der endoskopischen interkorporellen Spondylodese ist demnach die Reduktion der zugangsbedingten Morbidität durch Anwendung laparoskopischer Techniken.
