Abstract
In this paper we describe a context-aware approach for the management of phone address books in mobile social networks applications. User preferences for visibility and privacy are defined for contacts and groups depending on the user’s context. User’s context is defined through the user’s status, assigning different roles to each contact. Virtual and dynamic information about contacts is stored in the mobile phone book allowing the smart server application to manage secure and private communications among users.
