Definition
Financial asset analysis is the process to evaluate equities, real properties, projects, and other finance-related entities for investments and risk management. The four major aspects which are generally considered in the analyzing process include profitability, solvency, liquidity, and stability. Considering that the data usage in traditional schemes in finance is usually based on historical price data, financial statements, and macroeconomic indices, data from mobile GIS, especially the information of human mobility and social media activities, provide new resources and directions for related research. The information of geography and human mobility can improve pricing models for real estate and stocks in some specific industries such as retailing, energy, and professional services.
