Abstract
Multilingual dictionary of Slavic somatic phrasemes was frequently used by the linguists from the Faculty of Philology in Skopje. Outdated versions of the development tools, frequent migrations and the lack of support were the main reason to withdraw it. Due to its importance for the researchers, who regularly surveyed and enlarged the existing repository of these phrasemes, it was crucial to either reengineer or to develop it from scratch. New technologies, application programming interfaces and architectural styles that enable smooth interaction were the main motivation to reinforce the second alternative. This paper introduces the new parallel corpus of somatic phrasemes, which includes all the functionalities of the previous site enabling further extension to new languages, additional multiword expressions and their meanings. After presenting several similar projects, the paper gives an overview of the major system components, the platform, the programming language and technologies, and finally the distributed server for data search. The portal is illustrated with the most important components of its interface. The paper concludes with the impact of the portal for the linguists worldwide and its further extensions.
