Intelligent Systems Design and Applications (ISDA 2022)

Abstract

The manufacturing layout of the plant was carefully analyzed in order to integrate the materials, labour, and machinery needed to process a product as efficiently as possible. The aim of this is paper is to analyze and asses the various proposed layout through Preference Ranking for Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE) a MCDM algorithm. Here, we have considered three quantitative factors such as Material Flow Factor Cost (MFFC) and Shape Ratio Factor (SRF) and Area Utilization Factors (AUF); qualitative factors such as lean service, ergonomics and workplace environment. Here, the aim is to find out feasible layout in terms of enhancement in operational performance. Initially, we have created 18 alternative layout design using Computer aided Design (CAD) model. After careful analysis from the implementation point of view, we have taken only four alternative which was proper and feasible to implement.
