Abstract
The concept called Industry 4.0 has a very complex technological architecture based on Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), which represents one of the main concerns in the start-up stage at an industrial level. The effective implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies continues to be a research topic. Some works propose maturity models for the implementation of these technologies, while others focus on the study of their impact on industrial performance. However, there is a lack of studies that provide evidence on the way in which these technologies are implemented in manufacturing companies in general. This fact leads to the following question: What are the current implementation patterns (degree of implementation – maturity stage) of Industry 4.0 technologies in companies? To answer this question, this work proposes the development of a tool for maturity assessment which allows understanding what is required to carry out an effective analysis of implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies in manufacturing companies by studying the degree of implementation – maturity stage in companies from different sectors.
