Abstract

Image recognition systems combined with augmented reality systems provide new tools to relate to the physical world. Obtaining fast and accurate information about analog elements such as a photo or a picture, allows users to be more and better informed. One of these physical elements, which is in the process of disappearing, is the traditional music album. In this work we propose the use of a mobile application of augmented reality for the recognition and indexing of music albums through its cover. The goal is to index discs through image recognition in order to access them digitally through services such as Spotify or YouTube. The system has a music recommendation module based on the albums recognized by the application.
