Abstract

Based on the analysis of the physical feature of grid resources and the demands of resource organization and management in grid environment, this paper proposes a constellation model, which could manage the grid resources dynamically based on the Integrated Service Capabilities (ISC) of grid nodes. The higher logical layer of the grid system based on the constellation model can reflect the topology of the underlying practical organizations. The constellation model defines the minimum resource management unit in grid, which is called Solar system. The resources in grid system are classified according to the application category. By the approaches, the constellation model could reduce the complexity of organizing and managing the grid resources. This model also has good scalability. Uniform resource management can be realized in grid system based on the constellation model.
