Description
Español: Escudo del municipio de Soacha, Cundinamarca (Colombia):[1]
Escudo cortado y medio partido. En jefe, de azul, un sol figurado en oro. En campo derecho de la punta, en plata, el salto del Tequendama. En campo izquierdo, en rojo, dos ruedas dentadas de plata. En el centro el escudo de armas de la familia Colmenares, de origen español, primeros dueños de los terrenos donde se encuentra el municipio. Sobre el escudo una cinta de color oro con la divisa “SOL OMNIBUS LUCET” (el sol brilla para todos). Adornan el escudo dos banderas cruzadas de tras de él, con los colores del municipio (rojo y blanco), y hojas de acanto en verde bordean los campos de punta. En sitio de honor, la etimología de la palabra “SUACHA”.
Escudo de la familia Colmenares: En campo de sinople nueve ruedas de carro de plata, puestas en tres palos. Bordura de azur con cinco flores de lis de oro.
