English: Coat of arms of the Danish town Ry. Granted 1952. The crowned monogram is for Christian III who was elected king of Denmark in Ry in 1534. The crozier symbolises the medieval Øm monastery and the seven water lily leaves symbolises the municipality's seven lakes.
Dansk: Rys byvåben. Tildelt 1952. Christian III's kronede monogram symboliserer at han blev valgt til konge i Ry i 1534. Staven er et symbol på det tidligere Øm kloster. De syv søblade står for kommunens syv søer. |
