The role of Islamic lifestyle and spiritual vitality in predicting students' emotional adjustment

چکیده مقاله:
Background and Aim: Today, the investigation of the factors related to the emotional adjustment of students who face many mental challenges has attracted the attention of psychologists. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate the role of Islamic lifestyle and spiritual vitality in predicting students' emotional adjustment.
Methods: The present study was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of the research was ۲۱۲۸ students of Farhangian University of South Khorasan in ۲۰۲۳, of which ۳۱۹ students were included in the study by stratified sampling method. The data collection tools included Farahbakhsh's emotional adjustment questionnaires (۲۰۱۳), Chirian and Afroz's spiritual vitality (۲۰۱۵), and Kaviani's Islamic lifestyle (۲۰۱۶). SPSS-۲۶ software and Pearson correlation test and multiple regression were used in data analysis.
Findings: The results showed that the correlation between Islamic lifestyle (R=۰.۶۰۹) and spiritual vitality (R=۰.۶۷۷) with emotional compatibility is positive and significant (p<۰.۰۱). Islamic lifestyle components explained ۳۷% and spiritual vitality ۴۵.۸% of the variance of students' emotional adjustment.
Conclusion: Overall, the results showed that Islamic lifestyle and spiritual vitality were able to predict the emotional adjustment of Farhangian University students. Therefore, paying attention to the components of Islamic lifestyle and spiritual vitality should be the concern of planners and mental health offices of universities.
