Journey of Excellence

My journey began right after I completed my Master’s in International Law in 2016. While my academic background laid a strong foundation, my true passion has always been gaming and gambling. 

I started gaming in 2009 and took it to a professional level in 2013 as a player for Sparx eSports (2020). This experience honed my strategic thinking and competitive edge for gambling and gaming.

Parallel to my eSports career, I got into blackjack and poker at land-based casinos in Serbia. These early experiences as a semi-professional gambler allowed me to gather invaluable knowledge and develop an understanding of how casinos work and what’s the best way to beat them.

In 2018, I transitioned to online gambling, where I tested countless casinos and let myself in the virtual gaming world. Since then, I’ve written over 300 reviews and guides, sharing my expertise and helping players start their gambling sessions with ease.

Becoming Citeulike’s Expert

My journey into writing for Citeulike began quite unexpectedly during a trip to New Zealand. While exploring the city’s casinos, I found myself in a cozy cafe that happened to be hosting a casino-themed trivia night. I joined in for fun and to my surprise won a small prize.

During the event, I struck up a conversation with a few casino writers who were intrigued by my stories and my point of view towards gambling. They mentioned Citeulike and suggested I share my experiences with their readers. I took their advice and reached out, which led to my start as a writer for Citeulike. It’s been a rewarding experience so far.

Behind the Screen

Outside the world of online casinos, I’m passionate about a few other things. I love losing myself in the stories of a certain novel or a book. I also love taking refreshing swims in lakes, seas, and ponds and playing 8-pool whenever I can.

But, one of my favourite pastimes is betting with friends on a daily basis. One night, we decided to up the stakes by betting on who could pot the 8-ball without a direct hit. The winner would get free drinks for the rest of the night. 

We set up the challenge, and the game quickly turned into a hilarious spectacle. From creative shots to wild attempts, everyone tried their best to sink the 8-ball in the most unconventional ways.

At one point, a friend managed to pull off an incredible shot by bouncing the cue ball off three cushions before sinking the 8-ball. It was such an impressive move that we all agreed this guy deserved the free drinks - and the night ended with plenty of laughter and toasts.

Casinos I Visited

New Zealand surprised me with some amazing casinos that I really enjoyed playing at. I was lucky to gamble at these:

• SkyCity Auckland: SkyCity Auckland was an absolute blast! The place was buzzing with energy, and I had a great time at the poker table. I even hit a small jackpot on a slot machine. It was a fantastic way to kick off my casino adventure in New Zealand!
• Christchurch Casino: Christchurch Casino had a really different vibe, it’s like a place where people chill. I joined a blackjack tournament and got caught up in some friendly competition. I remember being in a close match with another player and pulling off an Ace on two fives with a double down bet.
• Dunedin Casino: Dunedin Casino was a pure gem, I have to admit it! The place was in a cool old building, and I spent the evening trying out different games. One funny moment was when I used a silly strategy (the snake bet) at the roulette table, and it actually worked! I ended up making some new friends who enjoyed the roulette just as much as I did.
