Because I find myself more active in finishing a project if theres one hard deadline. If i have something to fall back on, i’m going to want to fall back on it. Theres no pressure to complete the project.

No nuance about outside interference or issues, this is purely asking about what works for you, so assume nothings stopping you from completing a hypothetical task (i know how our dopamine starved brains work)
