Very well done!
I love the start of a scene here! Soon you’ll be making pieces that take a couple days to finish and they will be beautiful
I see my moment has come where my two interests have met and shook hands.
Now I get to ramble and theres nothing anyone can do to stop me. <3
If you ask me, I see the appeal of saying Boa here: Of course, Im speaking entirely hypotheticals, this is a fictional snake and all, but the blunter headshape is reminiscent of a Yellow Andaconda to me(Friend has one, they're absolute menaces, 0/10 would not recommend <3)
HOWEVEERRR The longer tail- which can be seen in the first image, is more akin to Arboreal snakes. My DRMB has a long, narrow tail like that for example- these tails are prehensile and help the animal hold onto things like branches for example. At her current size of about three feet, she can support herself with her tail holding onto one of my fingers. Despite the thin narrowness of the tail, they can hold on remarkably well.
Something else here- Boas don't really have 'fangs' like that, per say. Instead you usually find a row of sharp, inward-pointing teeth that are meant for holding onto prey while they constrict. Snakes that typically have fangs like that tend to be venomous- and that can be broken up into two parts: Rear-fang(Think Colubrids like False water cobras) and your traditional front fangs(for example, Elapids like King Cobras). Keep in mind some species have 'hinged' fangs.
All that in mind, I see fixed front fangs here.
So arboreal, front-fanged venomous with a bulky blunt head, dark coloration and bright accents
So if I had to throw my hat in the ring, Id guess Wagler's pit viper, female(theyre sexually dimorphic), or a speckled palm viper.
However again! The Wagler's pit Viper is also known by another common name, the Temple Viper, primarily found in Southeast Asia.
So thematically, my votes on a female Wagler's Pit Viper.
I love being silly about things like this lmao
Alrighty, since I’ve painted the image already I’m gonna see if I can edit to match cuz I like the way the Wagler’s Pit Viper’s teeth look.
Thank you so much @ceratosaurtalks and @seeingthroughthevoid-blog for the added information! I really appreciate you guys taking the time to share your insights :D

Folks who are still awake,
What kind of jungle snake would you say the Sonic Forces snake is based on??
It could be a kind of boa judging from its winding
I could make the shot accurate to the in game model, but I like to be informed by reality a bit more before simplifying yknow
DAY 300 LESSGOOOOO
