Such a shame manips are a lost art form in today’s society. Sometimes you see one that is so seriously unserious that you have to wonder if someone giggled their way through making it or if they considered it their magnum opus.

Manips are a noughties fandom art form considering of photoshopped or otherwise edited images of characters and/or celebrities. Usually, but not always, ship related. The artists had varying levels of skill and different styles.They were often used as supplemental art/banners for fanfiction or posted to DeviantArt and then stolen for fanfic illustrations. This art form seems to have died out sometime around 2018. They are still fairly popular in the reylo fandom for some reason. Also sometimes see them for dramione. (These two fandoms are a venn diagram)

I doubt COTTON SHIRTS were EASILY REPLACEABLE in the Scottish Highlands in the 18th century. The woolen kilt can take a beating but that poor shirt does not deserve that mistreatment.

I know I was just saying how much I love it when characters lose their shirts for plot reasons but I think it would be fantastic if there was just one hot thrifty period drama guy who carefully removed his shirt and folded it before getting into into any sort of violent altercation or messy situation. Every other part of him is caked in mud and blood except for his miraculously clean cotton blouse.

This is actually a plot point for one of my cowboy OCs, he’s beaten within an inch of his life by cattle rustlers and earnestly asks his rescuer to give him his gore and dust soaked shirt back because maybe it could still be used for rags. She’s on the verge of burning it because it’s nasty and this poor guy takes a break from being on death’s door to ask for his shirt back because his mama will be upset if he loses it.
