History
Zirc debuted in The Pendant That Starts It All (Part One) alongside the other members of the Explorers. Zirc was the first one to find Liko and her Sprigatito after they tried to escape and confronted them with his Rhydon, only for it to be subdued by Sprigatito's aroma. When Friede from the Rising Volt Tacklers swoop in to defend Liko, Amethio stopped him and Onia from assisting. After Friede escaped with Liko in the next episode, him and the rest of the Explorers gave chase, broke through the airship's defenses, and threatened Liko to give herself up. Friede stopped them from leaving and battled Amethio once more, but they managed to escape after Liko's Sprigatito unleashed a Leafage strong enough to break the forcefield around the battlefield, taking it as a hostage in the process.
In For Sure! 'Cause Sprigatito's with Me!, Zirc kept an eye on the Brave Olivine whilst most of the members of the Rising Volt Tacklers were searching for Sprigatito. Unseen by Ludlow who remained onboard the Brave Asagi fishing, Zirc was able to place an unknown device on the ship.
As of The Ancient Poké Ball, after leaving without a mission to complete, that was now given by Spinel, Zirc decided to follow Amethio in order to discover more about the Black Rayquaza that was summoned from Roy's ancient Poké Ball.
In The Lonely Hatenna, Zirc with Amethio and Onia arrived in the Galar region in order to investigate the Galar Mine. In the next episode, Zirc and his team arrived at the Galar Mine where they came across Roy, Liko, and Friede and they battled them. However, the two groups witnessed a Galarian Moltres that had an Ancient Poké Ball arrive and attack them. Seeing how powerful Moltres was, Zirc and Onia retreated from their battle against Roy and Liko. In the following episode, the two reunited with Amethio and agreed to help him get the Pokémon that was in Liko's pendant.
In Reunion at the Ancient Castle!, Zirc, Amethio, and Onia reported their findings to Hamber. Later, they followed Liko, Roy, and Friede to the old castle in Hammerlocke and surrounded them in order to take the Pokémon away. In the next episode, Zirc tried to prevent Roy and Liko's escape, but failed. However, he was able to find Roy and Liko again, so he and Onia forced them to battle. During the battle, Zirc and Onia retreated once he noticed the Salt Cure move from Sidian's Garganacl on the castle's wild Pokémon.
In Roar of the Black Rayquaza, Zirc, Amethio, and Onia were able to locate Rayquaza. Amethio told his subordinates to remain on standby whilst he went to confront it.
After Amethio's battle against Black Rayquaza in From So Far Away, Zirc appeared with Onia to check if Amethio was okay, then the group returned to the Explorers' base.
Upon Amethio's orders, in HZ054, it was revealed that Zirc and Onia were spying on Spinel.
In HZ068, following his Amethio's dismissal from the Explorers, Amethio informed Zirc that he was planning on going on a mission on his own. Showing loyalty to Amethio, Zirc insisted on accompanying Amethio.
Character
Zirc has a cocky personality and is also shown to be ruthless and violent like a brute, Zirc obeying the orders of his superiors such as Amethio without questioning. He is also secretly a fan of Nidothing and watches her videos, where he submits questions under the username "Rhydon's Muscles" (Japanese: サイドンの筋肉 Muscles of a Sidon).
Zirc is shown to be loyal to Amethio, as seen in HZ068 when he insisted on accompanying Amethio on his mission after being dismissed from the Explorers.
