Sharon (Japanese: シャロン Sharon) is a character in Pokémon Duel. She is one of the player's friends and rivals. She is a famous Pokémon Figure Game (PFG) player, and is known as the "PFG Princess". Her special move is the "Red-faced Demon Blast".

Personality

Prior to the events of Pokémon Duel, Sharon's father invented the PFG League Match system. However, he was then involved in a dispute with the Roger family, which he lost - resulting in the Rogers taking his idea and all of the profits that came from it. Sharon's family was devastated - although she was too young to experience the event firsthand, she was told about it by her mother. Sharon's father, despite the incident, still loved to play PFG, and taught Sharon how to play.

Sharon's motivation to enter the PFG World Championships is to become a hotel owner, in hopes that it might help her family to recover. From the perspective of the Rogers, this is a mission to avenge her father - but according to Sharon herself, she simply loves to play PFG and wants to become the best. She highly values earning her achievements - when presented with an opportunity to be given a hotel instead of winning it, she declines, as it would not feel earned.

Sharon is shown to be sassy and confident when she or the player achieve victory, and she is quick to blush when given compliments. She is also quick to frustrate and anger when speaking with someone that taunts her or speaks condescendingly to her.

Plot

The player first encounters Sharon at Ulex, where she defeats the hotel's owner Yuji in a duel. She takes a liking to the player, and later joins them as they travel to Carmonte Island's various hotels for the tournament.

Starting with the appearance of Brenda at Atlantis, Sharon is shown to lose her composure when around Roger family members - around Brenda, Sharon is baited into anger by the woman's jabs at her family; around Don Roger, Sharon is overcome with a burning desire to defeat him in a duel, but then loses, and she excuses herself from the room to cry.

Over time, she opens up to the player about her family's plight and her motivations for the tournament.
